BidByText is operated by JJSmith Group, Inc., Bardstown, Kentucky ("we," "us"). This policy says what we collect, why, and what we do with it. It is written to be read.
When you join the waitlist we ask for your trade, the city you work out of, your name, a cell number, and optionally an email address. We also record the time you signed up, your IP address, and your browser type, which helps us stop spam and duplicate entries.
When the service launches, contractors and their customers will send us photos, voice notes, text, and bid details. That content belongs to you. We store it so that every bid, change, and approval has a record both sides can see.
To contact you about your place on the waitlist and, when it is your turn, to set up your account. To run the service. To fix problems and understand how the service is used. We do not sell your information. We do not rent it. We do not share it with advertisers.
By giving us your cell number you agree that we may text you about BidByText. We will not text you marketing from anyone else. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
Our own team, and the service providers that host and run the site for us (such as Cloudflare for hosting and the AI providers that draft bids), only to the extent needed to run the service. If the law requires us to disclose information, we will.
Waitlist information is kept until you ask us to delete it or the waitlist is closed. Bid records are kept as long as your account is open, because the whole point is a record that does not go missing.
Ask us to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you through the contact page. We will answer within 30 days.
The site does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. Your browser may remember form progress on your own device; that never leaves your device.
BidByText is for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be sent to the contact you gave us.
